I think you're right. I live in Sicily and it is a very Catholic island. Anti-government sentiments run high in Italy and have for many decades. Italians are hard to corral, so that could also be why the CIA/Deep State filth hate them.

Crucifixes, churches and shrines are everywhere in Italy, even in the more lefty places like Bologna. Celebration of homosexuality isn't a thing like it is in the US and I suspect that any clown that tried pushing child mutilation, tranny story hours, men in women's sports or any other such demonic leftist bullshit would get seriously "injured." Or might just magically disappear!
