Kaoutar Naqqad, 23, Imane Mallah, 24, and Wafae El-Arar, 26 — all from Revere, Mass. — were found dead Saturday at the Royal Kahal Beach Resort in San Pedro, police said.
Housing staff attempted to contact the women several times on Friday after surveillance footage showed them entering their room the previous night and not coming back out, police said. When they hadn’t received a response by Saturday, hotel staff entered the room and found the women unresponsive.
The cause of their deaths has not been confirmed, but first responders said they found the women with froth on their mouths, suggesting a possible drug overdose — possibly 20 hours before.
“The police did a thorough search of the scene, along with the pathologists and scenes of crime. There was nothing of substance that could have been found other than alcohol and some gummies,” Police Commissioner Chester Williams said...

For your drugs, buy local. The local drug dealer is least likely to kill you through his drugs than anybody else.

Recently went to Cozumel. Just like Central America and all over Mexico the pharmacias are openly peddling drugs. Noway Id buy anything from them.

Wood alcohol added or completely replaced a bottle of “drinkable” alcohol. Have heard about this several times at these resorts.
Most people go to Belize because it has the second largest coral reef in the world right off shore. The scuba diving there is literally some of the best in the world.
Also, everyone speaks English there.
It is generally a pretty safe country.
Probably safer than many of our US cities.
I’ve been to Belize. The tourist areas are pretty, but just beyond the gate are slums filled with packs of feral dogs, and pick-up trucks full of men just looking for trouble.
Probably alcohol with too much methanol in it. Apparently some people don't know that when you distill liquor, you have to get the methanol out of it or it will kill people.
Counterfeit booze will kill you.
Something similar happened in the Dominican Republic a year or two ago.
Sometimes those all inclusive free drinks are not FREE.

Taking drugs is a CHOICE. Every kid over twelve knows that drugs can kill you. Choose poorly and you risk death.
I'll stick with beer, thank you. Two pints per session. No more than three sessions a week.
