Pedophiles gravitate to where the children are. I used to say any adult male who puts himself in a position to be around children is suspect. Now it seems to be anybody who puts themselves in that position is suspect.
Those people do what they can to get to the kids. Be it schools, the church, scouting or otherwise, people who want to be around kids for nefarious purposes will find a way to be around them. 30-40 years ago it was the church and 20-30 years ago it was scouting. Now it's schools. My biggest problem with it all is the response from the institution of hiding the problem or moving the problem individuals around. And anymore, these types are also now management of the institutions.
