The left instinctively sides with evil. They are part of the eternal struggle between good and evil.
When Joshua led the Israelites into the promised land, God commanded them to utterly destroy the Canaanite’s living there. Remember that when the spies sent by Moses into the land, reported seeing Nephilim (giants) in Canaan. The Nephilim were the evil results of fallen angels matting with humans as told of in Genesis 6. The region that is modern-day Gaza was one of the areas where Canaanites, specifically the Philistines, were left alive during the Israelite conquest.
Gaza remained a stronghold of the Philistines, and the Canaanite population was never fully displaced from this region. Even today the ancient evil spirit that permeated that area is still there and strongly seen in Hamas whose ideology and actions reflect the extremist views,violent tactics, and unending hatred of Israel. This evilness is also seen in much of the rest of the people there who cheer Hamas’ violence and teach their children to carry on this vile wickedness.
This situation is a supernatural ungodly evil spirit that will never give up unless they are eradicated as God had commanded long ago.
