I recognize the technique. Propose an "extreme" measure that is clearly unacceptable then "compromise" on the terms that you really wanted in the first place.

But we are not to take over Gaza and expel all the Gazans.

Let the Israelis do that.

Having the Israelis clean out Gaza…is an unacceptable solution for the long term. The arabs need to clean up their own mess.
