Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) said Monday he thinks there’s “very little appetite” among Americans for a U.S. takeover of Gaza.
“One thing I will say, there’s very little appetite that I’ve seen in the United States Senate for America to take over Gaza in any way, shape or form,” Graham said at a press conference in Israel, standing among bipartisan Senate colleagues on a delegation overseas.
“I think that would be a difficult sell in South Carolina,” Graham said.
Graham’s remarks come as President Trump has doubled down on his controversial plan for the United States to take over the war-torn Gaza and push nearly 2 million Palestinians in the region to resettle elsewhere.

It’s a negotiation point Linda - stay out of it.
I believe you are right. But I do not see the Arabs cleaning up the mess in Gaza. They don't want any more Palestinians in their own countries. And the Gazans cannot stay where they are.
It will take some fantastic diplomacy to solve this. Behind any successful diplomacy is always the prospect of escalation to extreme violence that makes the "diplomatic" solution look like a better deal.
We already have Palestine in Texas (and smaller ones in several other states) as well as East Palestine in Ohio. We don’t need Gaza.
There’s “very little appetite” among Americans.
He doesn’t speak for Americans we speak for him to obey.
What’s the worst that can happen improvement and no blood stains.
Typical Graham no actions unless super secrets involved $.
The local Arab nations, UAE, Dubai, et al will not want the US taking charge of the Gaza Strip. They’ll want to own it themselves. 25 years ago the UAE and surroundings were a cat litter box; sand and #%@&! But look at it now! It’s amazingly beautiful! Google “UAE Tourism” and look at what’s been accomplished. The Strip can look like that, too. Let Trump work his deal with Israel and the Arabs. It will be gorgeous!
