Finally awoke on third day early in the morning. Walked the decks on that huge ship for nearly an hour and never met a soul. Thought I was on a ghost ship.

SS United States started out as Hull 488.

It's a great number because the Moon is symbolic of the Kingdom of David, and there are two men on the Moon, sharing a common eye as I've mentioned in past posts.

There's the little man with the wry smile, and the large man with his "shocked" face. The nose (sea of Vapours) and smile of the little man is the ׆-shaped nose of the large, astonished man who is the commonly recognized Man in/on the Moon: 😮

As the picture indicates, they share a left eye (the Sea of Tranquility, Tranquility Base). Also, the little man's right eye is the large man's "third eye" (the Sea of Serenity).

SS United States began life as Hull 488, and in Hebrew a hull is a "guf" [גוף] -- the same word as a body. Interesting:

According to the Talmud, Yevamot 62a, the Messiah will not come until the Guf is emptied of all its souls. In keeping with other Jewish legends that envision souls as bird-like, the Guf is sometimes described as a columbarium, or birdhouse.
The mystic significance of the Guf is that each person is important and has a unique role that only they, with their unique soul, can fulfill. Even a newborn baby brings the Messiah closer simply by being born.
The peculiar idiom of describing the treasury of souls as a "body" may be connected to the mythic tradition of Adam Kadmon, the primordial man.

It's truly a literal deep dive. And beyond, because for one thing, that term relates to a columbarium -- a dovecote, as explained on the link to the guf.

Columbia, like Jonah, means "dove", and Columbia is the female national personification of America.

Columba, back into the Greek means diver/ to dive. I don't have the link to the quote off-hand, but in the etym. loop is a disturbance in the force for the linguists because doves "don't dive", so what the heck.

Well, it's not complicated. It merely depends on what kind of dove. Jonah, for one obvious example, dove right in:

The Guf, or Treasury of Souls, is sometimes described as a columbarium, a dove cote. This connects it to a related legend: the "Palace of the Bird's Nest", the dwelling place of the Messiah's soul until his advent (Zohar II: 8a–9a). The Vilna Gaon explicitly declares that a dove is a symbol of the human soul (Commentary to Jonah, 1). The dove is also a symbol of the people Israel (Song of Songs Rabbah 2:14), an image frequently repeated in Midrash.

Subject: Manifest Destin --

This painting shows Manifest Destiny, the belief in westward expansion of the United States from the Atlantic to the Pacific Ocean. It was widely distributed as an engraving called "Spirit of the Frontier". Settlers are moving west, guided and protected by Columbia, aided by modern technology like railroads, and driving Native Americans and bison into obscurity. Columbia represents America, dressed in a Roman toga to represent classical republicanism, and brings the enlightened east to the darkened west.
