Guinea has no coastline on the Gulf of Guinea.
Some are not named after countries.
Gulf of Riga, Gulf of St. Lawrence
Gulf of Suez on one side of the Sinai peninsula and the Gulf of Aqaba on the other.
I am thinking it is not a gulf since it is open on both ends.
The legislature should submit its name to GNIS for their consideration.
