I lived in California then and could indulge not voting for president (unlike people in tossup states), I only voted for Palin, not McCain, and didn’t vote for Romney.
McCain would not have gotten me to vote for him.

I voted for Milt Romney and Eddie Munster - but I don't remember voting for them.

Well seeing as how McCain made it to 2018, you would have gotten at least four years of McCain, and Palin would have been irrelevant.

Palin gave us the Tea Party and paved the path for Trump. I didn’t vote for Romney either because of what the Party and his operatives did to her. I sat it out. So glad I did.
It’s my biggest FR trigger: when people insinuate Palin “quit” — No, she was lawfared out of office including by Romney-McCain operatives, but unlike Trump, she had no financial barrier. And zero RNC support. Not to mention a baby with a lifelong disability. Alaska has thick entrenched interests she spent her initial career ruffling - the oil & gas companies run the show and the Murkowski dynasty caters to them. The media sabotage was so destructive, even *freepers* bought into the narratives. So relentless, Palin is a shell of her former self.
