Cut to the chase: Dr. Laura was correct when she said, single women who have minor children should give up sex and dating until those children are 18 and out of the home.

True. I have a late uncle whose wife was pregnant with another man’s child when they married. He stayed with her and sired four more children with her, and created a great family, even though that first kid was not genetically his. I am privileged to know/have known them all.

I saw a YouTube video by a well-known female content creator in which she interviewed a thousand women. Some of those women stayed with men who cheated on them, but when the men straightened up and fully committed themselves to the relationships, the women broke up with them.

It’s as though the men’s perceived SMV went down when they decided to dispose of their options.

Absolutely. I see nothing wrong with helping out a single mom neighbor if she needs it, as long as I don’t become entangled with her.

A long time ago, a woman made me an offer in the grocery store. But she also said she had a baby, so I turned her down. She was attractive, so the sex would have been great, but there was that baby.

Sex in exchange for changing diapers at age 25 is hardly the basis for a lasting relationship, IMO. Totally transactional

I watch a lot of true crime, and VERY often, the wife/mother will sacrifice her kids’ safety — even lives sometimes — to appease her man. The abuse can be stunning and often the mother is aware of it. The children aren’t the priority.

Selection Effect.

The countless instances of women giving preferential treatment to their children, to the detriment of the new boyfriend, don't get made into "true crime" shows, because it's the norm, and thus boring.
