On a Safari, in South Africa, the guide told us how to tell the female from the male Zebra. “The Females have white coats with black stripes. The Males have black coats with white stripes.”
This was good information for later observations.
Oh my. Scam of a guide. All zebra are black with white stripes. One species I’ve seen has shadow or light grey stripes. He must not have heard about the difference between the vertical stripe width under the male and female tails.
I haven’t been on a real safari, have only watched live safari drives with professional guides. Did you have a favorite sighting?
