Attorney General Pam Bondi announced the DOJ filed charges against New York Gov. Kathy Hochul and Attorney General Letitia James for not complying with federal immigration laws.
Bondi declared
We’re here today because we have filed charges against the state of New York. We have filed charges against Kathy Hochul. We have filed charges against Leticia James and Mark Schroeder, who is with DMV.

The Federal government has ultimate authority over immigration.

AG Pam Bondi better watch that she doesn’t develop an “all bark and no bite” reputation (McClellan), or Trump will rightly boot her posterior out the DOJ door in favor of a fighter (Grant).
My guess is it is a federal criminal prosecution for breaking federal laws.
Because James is not above the federal laws.
