I’d go to Lowes, HD or Amazon and buy a new one and install it. That’s not hard to do, just a couple of wires. Take a picture of how the old one is wired with your phone and rewire the same way. Also check before removing the old one that the wires are attached matching color to matching color, i.e., black to black. If that doesn’t fix it, then it’s probably not the thermostat. It may be at the other end in the furnace itself, or if you have a heat pump have them check the setting on it. They are usually set to read outside temp and switch from heat pump to standard heat at a set temperature. Ours is set at 40 degrees. If you have a heat pump, try setting the thermostat on emergency heat. That takes the heat pump out of the equation and runs the unit like a straight up gas or electric furnace.
Hope some of this helps.
Why does the winter season freak out some people? Really...seasons occur one right after another each year. And, get this, they vary a little. SHOCKING!
And those JACKA$$€$ at lowes can go DIRECTLY TO
}{€££ !!! I spent $800+ on a Toro Electric Start, Variable Speed Drive, Bagger/Mulching Mower (no assembly required by customer.) and right out of the box the Electric Start didn't work and the 1st time it was used (after pull starting) one of the wheels fell off !!! Went back to them for a trade out or have them fix it and they wouldn't do anything because I couldn't find the receipt. I even gave them the date of purchase and they still didn't do a damned thing !!! I ended up taking it to the local Toro Dealer (they also Delivered it back to Me after fixing it.) and they took care of it for no charge because it was still under the factory warranty. lowes will NEVER GET ANOTHER PENNY FROM ME !!!
