Yeah and body builders. I’m 6 foot and 190 lbs. Fit as a fiddle and it says I’m overweight. It was made up by a mathematician.
Just looking at a person is a better indicator of obesity. The fact that doctors and healthcare providers use it says a lot about their intelligence.
I've got boots on. Long johns. Jeans. T-shirt. Shirt. Heavy winter coat. Hat. Gun belt. Holster. Sidearm. Wallet, keys, change, etc.
But that weight is the weight that went into my chart and is the weight they used for the BMI calc.
Not particularly precise measurements.
