“I hear from Americans constantly that they are sick and tired of changing their clocks twice a year"

What a stupid statement. Computers and phones do it automatically, some cars do it as well. How long does it take to reset a conventional clock? Maybe a minute or two per clock.

I remember the "energy crisis" in the 70s where we went to daylight savings all year round to "save energy". There were lots of complaints about kids going to school while it was still dark.

I like it the way it is now, except daylight savings starts too early and stays in effect too long.

I’m tired of changing it twice a year. It takes me 1-2 weeks to adjust to the change.

Just pick one or the other and keep it year round.

Schools can pick a start time that works for them.
