Yep, hence the Resolute desk in the oval office. The Royal Navy stopped the Trans-Atlantic (with some help from the US Navy) slave trade. Then the British crushed the slavers in East Africa, I’m looking at your Luo tribe Barky. Damn ingrates.

Thanks - I was not aware of that.

I do recall that the British were combating slavery and slave trading inside Kenya during the pre- and post-World War One period.
