I’d want to know what the hotel was.
Back in the late 1980’s/early 1990’, there were a number of 3X and 4X motels along Airline Highway. I’ll admit they weren’t all near the airport. You may recall that Jimmy Swaggart met his end at one of them.
About the mid-1990’s, they started to clean up that area. They built a minor league ballpark — although the team moved to Wichita at the end of the 2019 season.
I wonder if the 3X and 4X motels have made a comeback? You’d think that a reporter wouldn’t stay at a place like that, but...
