Russia May Have Launched A Second Oreshnik Ballistic Missile At Ukraine—But This One Reportedly Exploded On Russian Soil

A terror weapon becomes less terrifying when it doesn’t work.

After warning U.S. officials of its intention to launch, Russia lobbed a mysterious new ballistic missile—initially mistaken for a nuclear-capable ICBM—at the city of Dnipro in eastern Ukraine on the morning of Nov. 21, damaging buildings and injuring dozens of people.

The mystery weapon turned out to be a variant of Russia’s RS-26, a 40-ton, solid-fueled missile with six independent reentry vehicles. Its name, Russian Pres. Vladimir Putin announced shortly after the strike, is “Oreshnik.” That’s Russian for “hazelnut tree.”

Three months later on Thursday morning, the Russians reportedly launched another Oreshnik—this one apparently targeting Kyiv. Air raid sirens wailed. City residents scrambled for shelter. But then … nothing. No scream of incoming reentry vehicles. No thunderous impacts as the non-explosive vehicles slammed into the ground.

According to Kirill Sazonov, a Ukrainian war correspondent, the Oreshnik “did not fly far.” It reportedly malfunctioned and exploded—on Russian soil.

Everyone knew an attack might be coming. A week after the first Oreshnik strike, Putin threatened to fire additional Oreshniks—and specifically warned he’d target “decision-making centers” in Kyiv, where Ukrainian Pres. Volodymyr Zelensky, top officials and commanders and their staffs work.

So what is “spam”? a meaningless putdown?

In this case, yes. It's sort of funny to see these characters care enough to click on a thread they don't care about, and then post a comment informing all and sundry of how much they don't care.

And sometimes, the first time I see such a thread is as a result of their comments. So ...

If they really don't want people to see the article; if they really think it's "spam" ... they should just ignore it.

But they don't. They bump it to the top.

Over and over.

They're not very bright ...

Sort of like the people who build and maintain Russian missiles.

There’s nothing like Russia building nuclear capable ballistic missiles that can’t make it out of their own territory.

Russia has had a little over two years invested in the Oreshnik adaptive technology to get it to this point.

In comparison, NASA has had 65 years to develop their adaptive technology for their missiles to be able to return US astronauts from the ISS.

NASA's resounding success in engineering Elon Musk's emigration from South Africa to the US for that purpose, is unparalleled.

If you look closely, you can probably see the hammer of god through the bottom of that vodka bottle.

Russia, according to what I’ve read, only made 10 of the very complex and very expensive missiles. They likely relied on Western chips and parts as so much of the Russian “modern” arsenal does.

Now having fired off 2, that leaves 8 of the hazelnuts remaining in thier arsenal.

The Putin fans are the real annoyance here. Marcusmaximus is excellent

Who are the Putin fans? Name them and make sure you post links showing them expressing their support for Putin to back up your claims.

Speaking of hazelnuts, Clinton's brothers, and Russians and so on... enter Huawei and the PRC:

Gulf Coast attempted to acquire an EB-5 visa for a Chinese telecom executive linked to the Chinese government. Zhenjun Zhang, the Huwaei Technologies executive who coordinated with Gulf Coast, was accused by former CIA Director Michael Hayden of "providing sensitive information about foreign communication systems to Beijing," according to one report. Yet Gulf Coast still made a pay-for-visa deal.

One possible explanation: Foreign nationals with green cards can contribute to elections, thanks to a loophole that McAuliffe is currently exploiting to excuse monies he (and the Clinton Foundation) received from Chinese billionaire Wang Wenliang.

Coincidentally, Gulf Coast's Rodham is the godfather of the grandson of Aslan Abashidze, a former official in the former Soviet nation of Georgia, who partnered with Rodham in a deal to export hazelnuts.

The US was always able to run rockets up to the ISS.
It could have (and did) use Delta II/IV/Atlas, the workhorses of the 1990’s-2000-2010s. There were over 200 launches of these types.

The problem was cost. There was also no perceived need to set up a capsule for that purpose, until much later, and that project was eaten by bureaucracy. But, eventually, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boeing_Crew_Flight_Test

Which leads to the present problem.

Musk’s big breakthrough was in vastly reducing costs, and hence increasing the frequency of flights and not coincidentally a vast reduction in bureaucracy.

Shadowy nuclear trail
The Washington Times ^ | 3-29-06 | Tsotne Bakuria
Posted on 3/29/2006, 2:28:32 PM by JZelle

In 1995, former Iranian president Ali Hashemi Rafsanjani made a little-noticed trip to the neighboring country of Georgia. He spent several hours in Tbilisi, the capital, and then instead of returning to Iran, he made a secret side trip to the breakaway region of Adjara to visit President Aslan Abashidze. The purpose of the detour was not to visit the balmy, palm-treed tourist sea port resort of Batumi on the Black Sea. His purpose was more sinister. The Iranian president was looking for black market sources of chemicals to enrich uranium for building a nuclear bomb. He found a willing partner in the small-time warlord, who promised to help for an undisclosed sum of money. In fact, Mr. Abashidze — who was later ousted from power in 2004 — offered his important contacts in Russia, as well as private Adjaran planes to secretly fly the needed components to Iran.

Thanks for bumping this thread to the top.

Again.

Why are you promoting what your fellow-travelers condemn as “spam”?

Do you want people to read this “spam” article? If you don’t ... if you think it’s clutter ... the smart thing for you to do would be ignore it. But that’s not what you did.

And how about that missile? It blowed up real good, didn’t it?

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!

Well, yes, because what you said is patently false. And quite frankly, it’s ridiculous.

It is quite plausible to have contempt for both Putin and Zelensky. In fact, most conservative Americans do.

In America, we want this war to end. We don’t wish to spend any more money on it and we would also like to see the end of the daily slaughter of human beings and the vast destruction of infrastructure.

We know a lot of Slavs (not all) get off on that stuff, but that’s unhealthy. We don’t want any more of our money going to the prolonging of this travesty. We have bigger issues in our own country that need to be addressed.

Zelensky, Putin and Biden are all a bunch of crooks and their BS needs to come to an end.

Soros’s groups have been receiving funds from both USAID and Russia’s FSB.

Kind of like the Clinton’s.
