U.S. Vice President JD Vance will attend a two-day high-level summit focusing on artificial intelligence in Paris next week and the annual Munich Security Conference in Germany in his first scheduled trip abroad since taking office.

The White House confirmed Vance's travel after a French diplomatic official said he would attend the Paris summit. It will be his first public foray into foreign policy matters since taking office on Jan. 20, as the new Trump administration promises a return to an “America First” agenda.

I trust Vance more than the others.
I would like to. But they all have the very same common goal. And much of it is contrary to Trump’s goals. I guess we will see where loyalties actually lay soon...

Who would enforce such a treaty would be a de-facto global government. Literally the thought police.
Just as it is with firearms, don't blame the tool. Humans exercise ultimate control over that tool.
Considering the AI public/private spending initiative announced by the White House it only makes sense for Vance to attend.
Besides, Paris is on the way to Munich where the security conference takes place.
Are they dead-level certain Vance won’t be needed to break a tie on a confirmation vote? If there is no doubt, then this trip has much potential.
