I met Iron Eyes Cody at a trade show in the 1970s. He had a booth set up and was dressed in his Indian outfit signing autographed photos of himself. This was during the period when his famous teary eye pollution TV commercial was running. It wasn’t until years later that I learned he was actually Italian.
