How much is that in leagues?

Leagues are a measure of length, not depth.

The distance varies from 1.4 to 4.9 miles.

So, 20,000 leagues under the sea could be between 28.,000 and 98,000 miles.

“a measure of length, not depth.”

Hmmm, if we can’t measure depth as length, do we measure is as width?

Surprisingly versatile for a unit of measure.
