Ah, there's always a catch......by the time President Trump gets through with him, he'll be paying US to take 'em.
I don’t like the “fee” thing. The whole point of throwing José out on his ass is to be done with Jose. Jose is worth exactly nada here, and nada in El Salvador so thanks but no thanks.
Does that offer include useless US bureaucrats?
This is a great deal.
El Salvador is providing a public service.
It is totally reasonable that they be compensated for it.
Notice they are offering to do this for illegal aliens from any country, not just El Salvador.
I agree BUT the deterrent effect would be off the charts.
Good deal!
The only problem, I see here, is that the leftist will take over El Salvador sometime and release them all!
There are many lefties in El Salvador.
Would this classify as export or import?
Maybe extradition. Complicated.
is it a one time fee, or lifetime for the entire wretched life of Jose?
Ya know, I sure as shootin’ would self deport rather than face ANY possibility of ever going to that hell-hole.
They're costing us millions in good and services up here....besides the manpower...which also costs.
And that's not even counting the damage done by their crimes.
Given the standards of living...I'm thinking the "fee" is well worth it.
The only downside would be if power changed there. Paying is reasonable and much cheaper than our prisons I’d think. Want a good read look up the unbelievable crime rate drop since this place opened in El Salvador
That is the difference between Bukele and Biden. Biden chose to place them in the general population.
Yeah I saw a documentary on that place one time......natural selection is alive and well in that cesspool.
But this isn’t just criminal Salvadorians.
If they’re willing to subcontract to hold dangerous criminals, it’s certainly an option worth considering.
I watched the Tucker Carlson interview with Bukele and saw a you tube documentary of his prison system. THey aren’t messing around.
And El Salvador is a small, somewhat impoverished country that Bukele has turned around. If he’s willing, I’d say go for it, but monitor them closely anyways.
We face the same risk.
We have to go with what we have, not what MIGHT happen.
Their prisons are not US prisons.
I doubt they’re spending near as much per body as we are.
“ even though they’re US citizens ”
US citizens?
Not sure that’s a good idea to send US citizens to a third world hellhole.
When a Dem is back in power, do we want Jan 6th type protestors sent to this hellhole ?
Our prisons have illegals in them don’t they?
I had thought that maybe this would be a good idea. We could even share the cost of building additional prison facilities in El Salvador, too. It would be cheaper than housing them all in US prisons and they would not keep sneaking back in.
I’m saying if these thugs are originally El Salvadoran then back they go, and it’s gratis. No dinero. I just don’t want to spend the rest of my life paying the high taxes for these Aztecs
