I said this same thing on a few other threads. The tariffs are a lever, once things move in Trump's direction, they'll be removed.

Leave the tariffs in place. they raise revenue and promote domestic industry. WIN-WIN.

They also raise consumer prices, and stifle sales, so, I’d rather use the tariffs to get what we want, and send them to the sunset.
This was just textbook maneuvering by the President.
Canada will do something similar, very shortly.
