Where do you get that weight was an issue. That is ridiculous.

There were reports that Luka's weight had ballooned to around 270 before he went out on December. I think this is a terrible trade for the Mavs, btw - they give up a 25 year old superstar for a 31 year old defensive great who can't stay healthy. But Luka's inability to control his weight was and is being reported as a reason the Mavs were reluctant to give him the max deal.

I don't believe that. If anything, the injuries are more of a concern. In the games he played, he was playing as well as last year. He's considered #4 in the MVP running.

First of all, this was a terrible trade for the Mavs. They are trading a future MVP, who is only 25-years-old, for a 31-year-old player who is about 70% or less of his peak, and a first round pick that won't even lottery pick.

I in no way believe that this was the best deal they could get for Doncic. Other teams would have offered more.

And this went from a team that went to the finals last year, to a team that is rebuilding and won't be in the playoffs for years.
