I saw this lineup in, hmm, must have been late '78 or early '79. Saw Stan, Garnet, and Jim in the winter of '80 or '81. It's odd to think that he has been gone nearly 42 years, especially poignant given the lyrics of this one. Naturally, this recording doesn't capture the depth of his voice when seeing him perform live.
Rare live footage of Stan playing 45 Years at Camp Fortune ski resort just north of Ottawa. I believe this was August 1, 1977 but I'm not 100% sure. The bassist playing with Stan and Garnet is David Woodhead.
