ONE OF THE MAIN REASONS WHY I HAVE NEVER HAD A CELL PHONE

FORCED TO SPEND $$$ OVER & OVER AGAIN.

MY $20 land line phones work just fine

FORCED TO SPEND $$$ OVER & OVER AGAIN.

Someone gave me an iPhone 3 and it worked fine, but needed a battery. I went to the 3rd party battery store, and the Valley Girl behind the counter (Columbus, GA . . . I don't know where these stores find Valley Girls), and she couldn't fathom replacing the battery rather than "just" getting anew phone. She would not help me.

My smart phone saves me money and time every day. It also has a camera.

My S21 Ultra cost $500 after trade in. Used it for four years and just got a $500 trade-in credit on a new S25 Ultra.

I still have a real land line phone, but heard Verizon would be phasing them out.

I’d love a landline phone. ACTUAL old-school landline. Not VOIP, which some people call a landline. And one that doesn’t require electricity. But the house we bought doesn’t even have phone jacks in it.

At our last house, we had a landline which worked during power failures, which was often. Then AT&T came through the subdivision and installed fiber optic. The power failed, I tried to call the electric company to report it as I’d done for years, but it was dead. Later, I called AT&T and was told that the new cable required electricity.
