Moscow said the move was designed to weaken Russian and Chinese nuclear deterrence. Yeah, that would be the plan. Deterrance from what exactly? Unless I'm mistaken, under the ABM Treaty, Moscow was allowed to keep their nuclear armed missile defense system in place.
