I would agree, however, the subject matter wasn’t supposed to contain a living person, therefore, the photographer will not be allowed to even qualify as a candidate for the prize.
Just my opinion based on what we have been awakened to in our world.

It deserves something better than a Pulitzer! Pulitzer - like Nobel - has so corrupted its awards that receiving one today could result in discrediting the author. Pulitzer is noted for giving a prize for the most convincing lies, fabrications and politically biased writing... just like Nobel giving their most coveted Peace Prize to Barack Opompus for simply replacing Prez George Bush in the White House.
