Generally when there are three or more family members who are partners in a firm, the title is shortened to Name & Name.

For years when I was growing up my dad practiced with two of his cousins even though his father had founded the firm. The firm was still known as Name & Name until his cousins retired.

Unfortunately my dad never got to practice with his dad who became NC Attorney General just before he graduated law school. Granddad went from there to the NC Supreme Court. I did get to see my dad argue cases before his dad on the Supreme Court.

Granddad's portrait now faces his granddad's portrait at the front of the Supreme Court chambers in Raleigh. They are the two portraits closest to the bench.
