Can’t recall all the details but when people in the failing US under Bill Clinton used to muse about finding a new country somewhere else the two cited were Australia and New Zealand.

But Robert Ringer (Looking Out for #1; Winning Through Intimidation) said both of them have requirements that if, as a business or other enterprise owner wanted to fire an employee you could have the government’s permission only if you lined up an appropriate replacement job for that employee somewhere else. It was your responsibility to make sure he or she had income and benefits after you fired them.

When I heard of each later woke idea I thought it wasn’t surprising.

Some years ago, a friend went to Australia for two years and worked diligently as a bricklayer while seeing the country on short holidays. He then returned to Florida with a tidy six figure sum that he used to open a business and buy a home. As he described it, the Australian working class were fund drinking companions but lazy as hell with an ingrained attitude of near hostility toward their employers.
