Hubba HUBBA!
I’ve seen her in one film...Night Of The Iguana. A good film, and she was good in it.But Deborah Kerr was the real star. She really stole the show.
When Frank Sinatra and Ava Gardner tried and tried again but finally had to give up on a lasting marriage despite loving each other (1951-1957) it was said some of the heartbreak songs he interpreted came from that.
One critic of singer-actor Harry Connick, Jr. (often compared to Sinatra including for his Great American Songbook choices of recordings, wondered what would have happened to Connick had he not found lasting mutual love with his beautiful model wife Jill Goodacre. His calm life may have helped him avoid the turmoil and hurt to express in his music.
"I disqualify myself, because I done them both!"
On the movie poster.......”and other gay songs”
Ava Gardner was one of the most beautiful women in the world.
Thanks for posting this, Simpson! I’m watching the movie now based on your recommendation and am thoroughly enjoying it! Ava Gardner was not only beautiful, but had the sweetest voice and the most coy, demur, appealing, feminine expressions ever.
