Appreciate this, been wondering about Visible/Verizon because AT&T sucks in the remote area I moved to last year.

I don’t think so. But people I know have purchased a local SIM card when they are travelling internationally or just make wifi calls.

I have experience with “Consumer Cellular” (great customer service, not the absolute lowest price, but decently priced...elderly Mom has it). Also, I needed to “park” my landline phone number on a cell phone so I wouldn’t lose it after my cancelling landline/copper twisted pair service...almost no usage for that cell phone and I found a new “MVNO” called “MobileX” that has me on an “ala carte” plan that is a mere $6.45/month. (MVNO = cell phone companies that buy time from the “Big 3” and don’t operate their own network)(Pure Talk is another “MVNO” and has a discount for “AMAC” members if you happen to be an AMAC member - AARP is affiliated with Consumer Cellular).

Yes, you can bring your phone if it’s compatible. Somewhere on their website is a place to type in your SIM number to find out.

Data does not roll over.

Yes, we can do wifi calling, but we hardly ever need it.

We only use it when on cruises and visiting the family farm in the boonies in western NY. But when we need it, we definitely need it.

No, unused data does not roll over. We pay $41 a month for 2 phones, unlimited talk and text, and either 3 or 5 gig of data.

We never go over but if you do, you can still get to the internet at a slower speed.

We have a discount for autopay.

I’ve had Pure Talk for almost 2 years with great service.

$22/month for 3.5GB, unlimited calls and texts. That includes all taxes and military discount.

Sign up through AMAC.us and you’ll get 3 years free of AMAC membership and an added GB per month.

I had Puretalk for a couple of years and it was fine. I recently got a new Samsung phone that could not be used as a hotspot using Puretalk for some reason so I switched to Visible, which is a Verizon company and has been seamless. I think it’s also a little cheaper than Puretalk. I prefer Visible.

We have had Pure Talk since 2017, and have never had a problem. We are members of AMAC (similar to AARP) so our monthly rate is 12.00/line. We use our cell phones as phones. We do some calls, texts, take a couple of pictures, not much. We have never exceeded our monthly plan. Best wishes choosing!

We’ve had Pure Talk for a couple years. My phone is reimbursed by my employer yet I still choose to use a discount carrier.

I’m very happy with Pure Talk.
