I was in my 20’s when that happened. I actually believed her story at first. My sister in law pointed out all the flaws in her story. It was still hard for me to believe she killed her kids until the top notch Sheriff announced her arrest. You have to be a monster to kill your two little kids by drowning them. :-(

My wife and I thought she did it the first time we heard her interviewed. We looked at each other as she cried her eyes out, and said, “She did it.”

Monsters come in all shapes and sizes and both sexes and for so many actions. (sigh.)
She also literally placed in jeopardy the lives of black men in the area. Staggering indiffernce to be able to do that.
