Germany’s Chancellor tacitly compared President Trump’s desire to acquire Greenland from the Kingdom of Denmark to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, while France said it offered its army to Greenland.
Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen had meetings in several European capitals on Tuesday in what has been interpreted as an impromptu tour of allies to build an alliance against the United States, as President Donald Trump has expressed the desire to acquire Greenland from the country. Greenland has been under the jurisdiction of Denmark for centuries, first a colony and now a largely autonomous territory.

The Danish prime minister then visited Paris, which seemingly prompted the French foreign minister to reveal that the Emmanuel Macron government had offered to deploy troops to Greenland if necessary. Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot told national radio that the country had “started discussing [troop deployment] with Denmark,” but “at this point, it is not Denmark’s wish” to proceed with that plan.

France should think twice about deploying troops to Greenland. Lots of snow up there, their white flags won’t be visible.
Well, the bright side is that Greenlanders will be well armed as the French drop their weapons to run.

SO globalist Klaus-bootlicking euroweenies want to go to war with us? If a country said they would send troops to stop us, I would remove their capability to wage any effective action against us. Grand theater on everyone’s part. Entertaining, though. I don’t see either France or Germany able to project force and maintain it in Greenland in the absence of U.S. military assistance. If Biden were still in office, we’d offer it.
