As perhaps dozens of times in my long life I was right and others were wrong.

I know that feeling well.

I remember when HW Bush was hinting that he was going to allow a tax increase in exchange for the Democrats agreeing to budget cuts.

I knew the only thing they wanted was for him to break his promise. They never honored any deals they made with Reagan, and Bush was a fool to think they would honor any deal made with him.

But the real threat was getting him to break that pledge so they could beat him over the head with it in the next election.

Yeah, I remember plenty of times I was right, and others were wrong.

Several friends were so disgusted with Bush 41 that they voted for Perot.
