I love to watch those youtube videos filmed on an aircraft carrier's flight deck. One thing they do on the flight deck is periodically (don't know how often) they gather a lot of crew members and their job is to walk slowly along the flight deck from one end to the other and look doe even the tiniest bits of debris. Things like little screws,washers and other pieces of metal.
The logic is that even a tiny piece of metal can destroy a ten million dollar jet engine on takeoff and even cause the plane to crash.
