Barron Trump is targeted in cruel SNL skit: 'Oh, it's bad'
Daily Mail UK ^ | January 25, 2025 | Emma Richter

Barron Trump was the target of a cruel joke on Saturday Night Live this weekend, with one comedian mocking the 18-year-old's impressive height.

The comedy sketch made a pointed hit at the 6-foot-9-inch NYU student in the first SNL show since Trump's historic inauguration on Monday - with cast member James Austin Johnson playing the president.

But the skit took a wicked turn - with Johnson comparing the President's youngest son to the Lord of the Rings character Gandalf, because of his physical appearance.

The cutting jab comes just months after Barron re-emerged into the public eye on his 18th birthday - following years of being treated harshly on social media by liberals, with some members of the mainstream media targeting him as 'fair game.'

Even after a previous Saturday Night Live writer was reprimanded for calling Barron a 'school shooter' at his father's first inauguration in 2017, the comedy show decided to take another bite at the teen last night.

Johnson walked into the scene as guest star Lin-Manuel Miranda and other cast members sang and danced to a Hamilton-inspired song about America.

Just after the Tony Award-winning actor said 'in America we will never have a king,' Johnson interrupted him and said 'never say never.'

Johnson then said he's 'in his king-era,' before going on to speak about the 47th president's youngest son - calling Barron his 'new favorite son.'

SNL is loaded with nothing but sewage. Everyone who wastes their time watching it is either high on drugs or drunk on cheap beer. Usually low I.Q. idiots who had to pay somebody to take their SAT tests.

Mocking Baron for his impressive height? Comparing him to the wizard Gandalf? How is that cruel?

This skit was cruel only to those who wasted their time watching it expecting something funny. The guy’s Trump impression is piss-poor, and the jokes were remarkably unfunny.

Good point.

Pics of Hunter with a crack pipe in his mouth. Videos of him snorting coke off a hooker’s *ss. A 50 year old man doing childish art.

Yet SNL can’t find anything there to ridicule, and instead goes after the well behaved teenager.

“If the worst any 18 year old has had to experience growing up is being mocked for their height, they’ve got off very lightly.

“That tall lanky dude in HS could kick some serious arse, I wonder if he still plays trombone...

Yeah, doubt he ever got slammed against a locker by a bully and told to hand over his lunch money.

Better a giant of a President’s son than a crackhead trying to sniff cheese out of a rug.

America definitely traded up.

They also had to apologize for putting Chelsea into a skit.

That wasn't insulting to Barron. It said that he bumps his head on the door frames in the WH and compared him to Gandalf in a hobbit house.

Hardly insulting.

SNL ceased to be funny about 20 years ago.

SNL redefines comedy much like the CDC redefined vaccine.

Fake comedy....is it still comedy?

Ok Trump, let them experience the Columbia treatment....

SNL is not comedy.

It’s leftist political commentary labeled as comedy.

It stopped being a comedy after they fired Norm.

Hey now.. the Bush twins were pretty cute.

/Yes, I know you said “cute kid the democrats have had”... but my point is that Bush was really a democrat.

I have no intention of watching this skit, but based on the description in the article, the jokes about Barron don’t strike me as particularly cruel - just not funny. I wouldn’t have a problem with a little good natured ribbing of Trump if SNL hadn’t spent the last 9 years savagely mocking him while simultaneously giving the democrats a pass - particularly Biden and Harris, two of the worst individuals to ever hold the offices of president and v.p. and for whom the jokes practically write themselves.

go to youtube and look up Tyler Fischer—he does a Trump impression that is hilarious. Political humor without being vicious. Comedy is funny again.
