Once upon a time we sent people back regularly, conducted these sort of raids at least in response to tips, etc. Genesys wrote a song “It’s no fun being an illegal alien” (typical leftist blather, but the point being there actually was enforcement)
Then the dems passed, and Reagan signed (nobody’s perfect) the 1986 amnesty bill that yes, established required citizenship checks by employers which are obviously bypassed all too often, but also granted mass amnesty to anyone here before 1982.
Ever since nobody takes us seriously, and why would they?
We don’t (until just now) send people back, we don’t go after employers, and the hordes of invaders enter expecting Zero or Brandon or someone to pass Amnesty 2.0 and make them all permanent voting residents.
