Why would we be adding a star? If Denmark does sell it to us, that makes it a territory, not a State. There's a whole other process to then become a State. There's reasons Puerto Rico hasn't tried to hit State hood yet, there are benefits to not doing so. And the current smallest State, Wyoming, has about ten times the population or Greenland. Not very likely to happen in the near future.
