WE HAVE A BASE THERE. And a defensive alliance. China or Russia seizing it would be as much an act of war as if either were to seize Guam.

Yes, this is a good thing.

The Chinese having bought the rights from Denmark (as part of their Belt And Road initiative), will build a bigger base close to our tiny base, while the Russians will do their standard military invasion

China isn't going to invade, but Greenland (and Iceland) is important to China's Arctic Strategy, and they are quickly buying interest to control Greenland's Radioactive and Rare Earth Elements, as well as establish a presence in the Arctic. They intend to establish strategic control of the very resources that make Greenland critical to US interests. The report linked below was written back in 2020, after Trump made his first bid to "purchase Greenland". China continues to acquire resources and seeks to control Greenland - and to deny the USA control of these resources. This is a serious matter, and Trump is serious and informed. Just as China moved into Panama while we slept, they are moving into Greenland. By annexation, treaty or other means, Trump intends the USA to have a say the future of Greenland. Essentially, this isn't USA vs Denmark, it's USA vs China.
