During Carrie Underwood's performance of "America the Beautiful" at the inauguration (a few minutes ago), she was supposed to be accompanied by the Armed Forces Chorus and the United States Naval Academy Glee Club. However, there was a significant issue: the musical accompaniment did not play, leading her to perform the song a cappella instead.
This unexpected turn prompted her to invite the audience to sing along with her during the performance.
What happened?
Despite the initial plans for a choral accompaniment, Underwood managed to engage the crowd and complete her performance successfully under challenging circumstances.
Still think we should abandon it and change it to “God Bless America”. Much easier to sing and much more stirring. I can’t ever get through it without choking up. Martina McBride tops Kate Smith in singing it.
You could tell she was feeling the pressure for the first few seconds. She cheated the low note on “spacious skies”, but then she relaxed into it and totally crushed it. What a beautiful job.
Inspiring.
You know a democrat was involved but Carrie showed she did not need anything but her voice.
1) You just know a democrat was involved in that “glitch”.
2) Carrie fooled them all and showed she could sing.
3) Carries needs to stop with the steroids and fillers and botox.
