Not if you don’t watch them.
Didn’t I see this on Futurama?
Blade Runner... again.
Nope, nope, nope, nope, nope. My dreams can be bad enough as it is.
too late for me. my dream life already consists of John carpenter/Steven king craziness and anything less...I’d be an insomniac.
Apple cultists are the worst.
Sixty years ago you got 5 minutes of TV show for every one minute of advertising. A 25 minute show would give you five minutes of advertising broke up into the show.
Now for every 2 MINUTES of TV show you get one minute of advertising. TV shows now last 20 minutes with 10 minutes of advertising. And those advertising squeeze as many ads into the minute as possible.
and the majority of those ads are for some drug you need to ask your Dr. about

The selected companies must have been known oddballs. I think this is nonsense. People's dreams certainly vary, but I can't imagine one where a thirsty sap grabs a specifically Coca-Cola drink.
Those Industrial-Pharmaceutical-Complex ads (which shouldn’t beg people to pester their doctors for still-experimental drugs likely to be subject of future lawsuits) purposely use BAD JINGLES because their annoying discordance sticks to peoples’ subconscious processing of thoughts.
So if they go that far violating dream sleep isn’t hard to believe.
This so called “free” TV is not free. We’ve watched this free streamed stuff and there are more minutes consumed per hour showing adds than conventional TV.
A gimmick the streaming people came up with is labeled as “Live TV”. Another lie. How can reruns of stuff 20 or more years old be “live”. It’s just another way to cram adds down your throat. The same shows can be watched on pay channels at your leisure without adds. Even ROKU’s OAN is days old. Some news channels are actually live.
We got so sick of this crap, especially when the woke ones appeared. We now watch pay only TV, such as Prime and a few others. Much more relaxing and the best part is avoiding all the propaganda and crap like what this article is about.
Reagan also abolished the 7-7-7 rule, which said that no company can own more than 7 TV stations, 7 AM stations, and 7 FM stations.
Reagan replaced that with 12-12-12, then later abolished that as well. That's why companies like Clear Channel own over 1,000 radio stations.
Never sleep with the TV on.
someone could make a mint creating a commercial blocker- would rather see a blank screen for 10 minutes than listen to Elmer talk about how wonderful a pill is as he rakes in his paycheck from the company-
and yes i know- mute button works wonders- we use it- but mostly we tape shows and skip commercials-
Same here.
