But not to pardon someone for crimes not charged. The powers are counting on the Nixon Pardon to have adjudicated the matter, but Nixon was President. Cheney and the rest were not. I believe they will be investigated and they will be charged.

There are bigger problems with a Cheney/Fauci pardon.
1) States will still be able to prosecute them.
2) Federally, they will no longer be able to plead the 5th and if they lie, they will be in a perjury trap.
