Did Obama even use a Bible? Does he know what one is? He knows the Koran inside and out I’ll bet.
I would rather he have a copy of the Constitution tucked inside the cover.
He’s going to need both of them when he travels into the snakes’ nest for the inauguration. I hope he has his own security people. According to the recent popular poll, “almost 50% of all government employees” say they are out to bring down the president.
Won't disagree, excepting that the text of our Constitution does not mention God. Both together seems a fine gesture.
Someday an American President will swear in using a Koran. Matter of time.

It’s going to be an awesome moment when he puts his hand on the Bible. But saying that I am so super disappointed that he let the weather(men) dictate a beautiful traditional swearing in. I wonder if he forgot all the people that stood out in freezing temperatures sometimes for days to attend his rallies, I wonder if he forgot how in North Carolina people stood in miserable weather to cast their early vote. I hope he did not forget the people who were willing to crawl through broken glass to drag him across the finish line. The least he could’ve done is shorten the outside inauguration giving the people who had already made expensive arrangements some cheer. HOW CAN IT BE THAT this very morning protesters are in full force protesting Trump when temps are frigid? They will protest come hell or high water rain or freeze below zero temperatures they’re out there. And yet Trump’s team decides to pull this! We have been waiting for 4 years for this glorious moment and they pull this. An example would be a bride who waited all her life to walk down the church aisle only to be told no you can’t use the sanctuary but there’s a tiny room across sanctuary you guys can use. I think they pulled a fast one on Trump I really do. Another denial. Call me a skeptic but I’m beginning to think even the weather people are corrupt. Don’t underestimate the hatred they have in DC for this man they’ll do anything to deny him His due!
Washington and Lincoln were among presidents using open Bibles. A few didn’t use Bibles at all. Some used closed Bibles, noting that the Bible used was too fragile.

I doubt a Christian bible was involved in either. A bible requires that you tell the truth. Something like a Koran says it is OK to lie to further the cause.
