Every time I've asked police representatives at HOA or Townhall meetings which number to call when there are multiple jurisdictions patrolling the neighborhood, the answer is always the same:
Call 911 and they will route the information to the proper place.
The kids did the right thing.

Crime stoppers is a misleading name.
The crime has already been committed so why call crime stoppers?
Do they have a disclaimer stating rewards won’t be granted if 911 is called?

The thing is, did they know the crime stoppers number off the top of their head???
