That clearly was Chris Elliot's masterwork, including the Letterman cameo. Unbelievably creative and insightful.

And it's total lack of saturated color, a dull Eastman color pastel mess. Wow—so 70s and 80s.

Chris Elliott made two specials for Cinemax at about the same time (hence Letterman's "They'll put anything on cable." quip).

One was Action Family. The other was FDR: A One Man Show.
