I was an honored guest of the UAE in January 2003, just before Bush’s Iraq war, as an invited speaker at a biotech conference. They treated me very well indeed.
This was despite the fact that it was all over the Internet that I supported the Serbs over the muslims in the Balkan wars.
The leadership of the UAE steers in a very moderate course—friendly with the USA, Israel, Serbia, etc.
Perhaps under the new Trump administration, Saudi Arabia, Oman, etc. will join the UAE in this policy, and the horrible Iranian regime will be overthrown!
