I’m going to take the other dude if this. I’m sure fakers join in to get stoned, but peyote is a real aspect of some native American religions, comparable to wine in Christian churches. During prohibition sacred wine was exempt, but the Feds banned Peyote and then in a devastating blow to religious liberty, Scalia wrote the opinion upholding Federal interference in religion if it is facially neutral.
We conservatives should look for opportunities to build bridges. Some polls say native Americans voted the most pro Trump of any racial group. It would be nice to support them in something that is, for them, genuinely conservative.

How did the pastafarians vote?

Yeah but Christian churches don’t declare “wine is part of our traditional practices, therefore noone else can partake of it”
How many indians actually practice the many religions of the indians, and what percentage of that tiny number are not doing it for political/race/cool factor reasons?

In Oklahoma they do! They still despise Andrew Jackson who founded the democratic party and forced the tribes West on the trail of tears.
Outside Oklahoma, most of the blue areas in the West are tribes who still follow the democrat line to keep the welfare checks flowing.
