A petition?!

To resign.

It certainly shows people are angry.

It’s also the epitome of laziness.

Nancy Pelosi endorses Democrat Karen Bass for mayor of LA

By City News Service Los Angeles, PUBLISHED Mar. 07, 2022

LOS ANGELES (CNS) — House Speaker Nancy Pelosi endorsed then-11 year Cong Karen Bass to become mayor of Los Angeles, calling her a “national leader and coalition builder.”

A tentative field of 27 candidates filed paperwork by the Feb. 12 deadline to run for mayor of Los Angeles. Prospective candidates must gather a minimum of 500 valid signatures from voters. Candidates who collect at least 1,000 signatures will avoid a $300 filing fee

Bass, D-Los Angeles, officially qualified for the June 7 primary ballot on Thursday

“She is masterful at bringing people together to work on big problems by staying focused on shared values. As her colleague and friend, I have seen Karen fight for social and economic justice for the people. She fights for health care for our families and education for our children,” the San Francisco Democrat said in a video shared on Bass’ campaign Twitter account.

“As a former nurse, educator, Speaker of the California Assembly and now a leader in Congress, Karen brings vast experience that has been essential as the Congress has addressed the challenges of our time, including the pandemic. Karen is ready to put that wealth of knowledge and experience to work as mayor of Los Angeles. It is my honor and privilege to support my outstanding colleague and friend, Congresswoman Karen Bass — the next mayor of Los Angeles.”

Bass, Democrat-Los Angeles, officially qualified for the June 7 primary ballot on Thursday, along with other mayoral candidates Councilmen Kevin de León and Joe Buscaino, real estate developer Rick Caruso, City Attorney Mike Feuer and businessman Ramit Varma.

89,916 signatures out of about 18,316,743 who live in the Lost Angeles metro area.

That’s about 0.5% of the population. Looks like they’ll need a few more superfires before they other 99.5% change their minds for whom they vote on a regular basis.

Did the Los Angeles voters know Karen Bass is a Marxist-Leninist when they elected her? Did the "news" media tell them?

“What is wrong with those people . . .”

They are likely properly angry but if they have the impulse to manifest that anger in any way the leftist banshee in their head starts shrieking ORNAGE! MAN! WIN! ORANGE! MAN! WIN!!!!!

“Looks like they’ll need a few more superfires…”

Maybe not. This superfire isn’t done delivering and won’t be for months or years after the ashes have cooled…to quote Joe Biden “This is a big…ah…deal.

Nothing is wrong with these people. The recall process ultimately will require 10% of the registered voters for a local official in California. There are a few steps to do before the official recall petitions can be started but with people as upset as they are I would say they have a chance.
