Part of that is that people do not know how to talk to their doctor.
Yeah, you need to be collaborative, not just sit there. I just went through this. Went for a scheduled checkup, with comprehensive blood work done as prep beforehand. Blood work was perfect EXCEPT it showed I was slightly anemic.
PCP was all bent about it, until I told her that when I had donated blood two months prior my hemoglobin was great.
Then the light went on that I was slightly anemic because I was still recovering from the blood donation (this is why you have wait a certain amount of time between blood donations).
